Amidst the Coronavirus, the process of sending immigrant workers working in another state back to Bihar continues. So far 169 trains have been booked for coming to Bihar. Two hundred twenty-five million people will return to Bihar by these trains. Out of these, one3 trains have arrived in Bihar till May 9 and one lakh 2 thousand immigrants have come to Bihar by these trains.
According to officials, the process of trains will continue for a few more days. 20 trains will come to Bihar on Monday. 23 thousand 540 people will come to Bihar from these trains. It will have one each from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Delhi, two each from Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Haryana, three each from Maharashtra, Punjab, and Rajasthan.
These trains will be brought to Danapur, Muzaffarpur, Chhapra, Gaya, Katihar, Araria, Darbhanga, Khagaria, Barauni, Saharsa, Bettiah, Purnia, Motihari, Siwan, Bhagalpur and Katihar. There was talk of two trains coming from Mumbai daily, which the Chief Minister directed to do three so that laborers could be brought to Bihar in a short time.
Maximum booking of 28 trains from Gujarat
Now those returning to Bihar include people working in 12 states of the country. These states include Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. The maximum train is coming from Gujarat to Bihar. So far 28 trains have been booked to come from Gujarat to Bihar. After this, 23 trains from Punjab and 14 from Maharashtra will come to Bihar. More than 10 trains will also come from Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Rajasthan, Haryana.
On an average 1200 employees are coming to Bihar in a train
An average of 12 hundred personnel is arriving on a train. According to officials, the number of trains is likely to increase further. After registration by the workers, they will be brought to Bihar at the government level itself. It is likely that due to Coronavirus, the number of workers returning to Bihar could be three lakh or more. The government has made complete preparations. All incoming workers will be sent home only after being kept in quarantine camp for 21 days.
