New Delhi: Data from the Ministry of Health has revealed that 1,19,292 have been recovered from coronaviruses so far. The death toll from coronavirus is 6,929.

According to the latest figures released this morning by the Ministry of Health, the total number of coronavirus cases in India stood at 2,46,628. The death toll was 6,929. In the last 24 hours, 9,971 fresh Kovid-19 cases and 287 fatalities were reported. Data from the Ministry of Health showed that there were 1,20,406 active cases in the country, while 1,19,292 have been recovered.

According to the website of the medical research body ICMR, more than 45 lakh Kovid-19 tests have been conducted in India till 9 am on Saturday. And in 24 hours, 1.37 lakh trials have been conducted.

According to the updated Health Ministry data updated this morning, Maharashtra has reported 82,968 coronavirus cases so far, followed by Tamil Nadu (30,152), Delhi (27,654), Gujarat (19,592) and Rajasthan (10,331).

Starting tomorrow, the lockdown, including the opening of shopping malls, restaurants, and religious places, will get further relaxation, as strict restrictions will remain in force in the country’s worst areas until June 30.

These establishments will be permitted to open cinema halls, gaming arcades, and shopping malls located outside areas not allowed for children to play.

Globally, the total number of cases was 68.55 lakhs, while according to Johns Hopes University, the death toll has increased to 3.98 lakhs.

With more than 1.9 million cases and over 1.09 lakh deaths, the US remains the worst affected country. India has the fifth-highest number of coronavirus cases in the world after the US, Brazil, Russia, and the UK.
