JNN: The three districts have become a concern for the Uttar Pradesh government trying to stop the spread of corona infection. Cases of infection are increasing in Agra, Meerut, and Kanpur. Now the Yogi government has increased the strictness of the lockout in these districts and made special monitoring arrangements. For this, a senior police and administration officer has been posted as the nodal officer.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reviewed the condition of corona infection and lockdown at his government residence. In this meeting with senior officials of Team-11, the most concern was expressed about Agra, Meerut, and Kanpur.
Talking to reporters at Lok Bhawan, Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given directions for special monitoring of districts these days. These officers will camp in these districts and send reports to the government in the morning and evening. The lockdown will be strictly followed and the higher authorities will review the three districts separately.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPCIDA) Managing Director Anil Garg and IG Deepak Ratan have been posted in Kanpur. The responsibility of Agra has been given to Principal Secretaries of Infrastructure and Industrial Development, Alok Kumar, and IG Vijay Kumar, while Principal Secretary of Irrigation Department T. Meerut. Venkatesh and IG Laxmi Singh will do. Apart from this, four to five thousand samples are being tested every day. The yogi has given instructions to increase it to 10 thousand. Finance and Medical Education Minister Suresh Khanna, Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh, Minister of State for Health Atul Garg, and Chief Secretary RK Tiwari and other senior officials attended the meeting.
Workers in 40 districts prepared for labor special trains:
Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi said that CM Yogi has continuously operated special labor trains for Uttar Pradesh. More than 70 thousand people returned to the state on Sunday by 57 trains. About three lakh people are expected to return in the coming days. He said that so far 215 trains have come or are coming. Stations in 40 districts of the state have been prepared for Shramik Special trains. So far more than 2 lakh 30 thousand people have returned from 215 trains. 200 more additional trains have been allowed. These trains will arrive in the next two days.
A population of 49 lakhs in 467 hotspots:
Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi informed that 2931 Tablighi Jamaat people have been identified in twenty districts. Of these, 2670 have been omitted. Action has been taken against the Jamaat by registering 44 FIRs against 325 foreign nationals. He informed that 467 hotspot areas have been identified in 308 police stations in 71 districts of the state. These include eight lakh 77 thousand houses and about 49 lakh people.
