India is trying to make its own vaccine against the coronavirus epidemic. Meanwhile, there is a piece of relief news for the people of India. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has written a letter to Bharat Biotech asking it to run Human Trial in Fasc Track mode. ICMR has said that Bharat Biotech’s coronavirus vaccine test results on humans may be released by August 15. ICMR has written a letter to India’s leading vaccine manufacturer Bharat Biotech, which has developed an effective vaccine ax covaxin ‘(COVAXIN) on coronavirus, to complete the human testing process for the COVID19 vaccine using the FV track method.
ICMR DG Balaram Bhargava has written a letter to the principal investigators of Bharat Biotech and Medical Colleges to speed up the testing process of the indigenous coronavirus vaccine. This paper states that the process of human testing should be completed before August 15 so that the results of the clinical trial can be released by August 15. It may be followed by the first coronavirus vaccine made of ‘Kovaxin’ in the country on 15 August. Launched.
The letter states that it is the first indigenous vaccine being developed by India and one of the highest priority monitoring projects at the highest level of government. This vaccine is derived from SARS-CoV-2, which is isolated by the ICMR-National Institute. Pune-ICMR and BBIL are currently working on pre-clinical as well as clinical trials of this vaccine.
It is worth noting that a letter previously written by ICMR DG to Bharat Biotech was leaked stating that the vaccine should be ready by 15 August. The letter stated that the vaccine would require more time for public use by 15 August. Recently, India’s leading vaccine manufacturer Bharat Biotech announced that it has made an effective vaccine covaxin (COVAXIN) against coronavirus. Not only this, ICMR has also approved Bharat Biotech Phase I and II human trials. Bharat Biotech said in its official statement that it has prepared the vaccine in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research i.e. ICMR and National Institute of Virology (NIV).
12 institutes were selected for trial in the country
The Indian Council of Medical Research, ie ICMR, has selected 12 institutes for testing the country’s first indigenous Kovid-19 vaccine on humans. One of these institutions is located in Odisha, while the others are located in Visakhapatnam, Rohtak, New Delhi, Patna, Belgaum (Karnataka), Nagpur, Gorakhpur, Kattankulatur (Tamil Nadu), Hyderabad, Arya Nagar, Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh and Goa).
