‘Kisses Booth 3’ filmed in secret, debuting on Netflix in 2021
Just a few days after “The Kissing Booth 2” debuted on Netflix, the streaming service announced work on a third film in the teen romance franchise.
And there’s more good news for Ellie and Noah fans: “Kisses Booth 3” was secretly shot at the same time as the sequel, so the filming is already complete. It is currently in post-production and will premiere on Netflix in 2021. The entire cast – including King, Joel Courtney, Allordy, Taylor Jakhar Perez, and Molly Ringwald – will return for follow-up.
“It was the hardest secret to keep,” Courtney said during a live YouTube event with the cast on Sunday.
Despite negative reviews from critics, the “Kissing Booth” series has become wildly popular among teen audiences on Netflix. After the first film was released in 2018, Netflix reported that it was one of the most-watched original films of that year.
“Kisses Booth” movies center on a high school student who falls in love with his best friend’s older brother. The third entry follows their unlikely relationship. and chooses after the events of the second film – a cliffhanger that leaves the character of the king where to attend college.
In her review for Variety, Courtney Howard stated that the sequel “has more redeeming value than its predecessor.”
Not quite enough to justify its infinite run time. – “Though its imaginatively named sequel ‘Kisses Booth 2’ has similar beats, themes, and emotional bells, it is her heroine in her quest to find happiness. Deliver some fresh information by giving more agency, ”she wrote.
The “Kisses Booth” films are based on the book series by Beth Reekles Which is hit on Digital. Actor Vince Marcello is back to direct “Kiss Booth 3,” which he wrote with Jay Arnold.
