Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju will participate in an online yoga session with actress and fitness trainer Shilpa Shetty on the occasion of International Yoga Day on Sunday. The online session will also feature boxer Mary Kom, who became the world’s most frequent world champion. Apart from him, star shooter Anjum Modgil will also take part in the yoga session.
The impact Yoga has had on my life is truly commendable. I know and understand the importance of making Yoga a part of our lives, and what better way to incorporate this than to start young? It has been prepared under the guidelines of ‘Home at Yoga’ of the Ministry of AYUSH. International Yoga Day cannot be celebrated in a public place due to the Coronavirus epidemic. The session will start at five in the evening. It will be shown live on the YouTube page of Fit India. Apart from this, Shilpa Shetty will also be live on Kundra’s Facebook and Instagram page.
The purpose of this session is to inform children about the essential elements of yoga in sports and games in an instructional manner. This session will show simple and highly effective rugs, which can be done comfortably at home. Information on pranayama and mantra meditation will also be given during the session.
