The state of Mizoram of North East India trembled once again
According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), it was a sub-center in the Champhai region of Mizoram.
The earthquake came at 5.26 pm on Sunday evening. The intensity of the earthquake has been measured at 4.6 on the Richter scale. People came out of the houses fearing an earthquake. There is an atmosphere of panic among the people. However, there is no news of any assets yet.
According to the earthquake at Mizoram National Center for Seismology (NCS), it was a sub-center in Champhai region of Mizoram.
Earlier in the last two weeks, earthquake tremors have been felt in Mizoram several times. The tremors were felt in Mizoram on Friday itself. The intensity of the earthquake that occurred at 2.35 pm on Friday was measured 4.6 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was near Champhai in Mizoram.
There was also an earthquake in Meghalaya.
At the same time, earthquake tremors were felt in Meghalaya state of northeast India a few days ago. On June 28, a 3.9 magnitude tremor was felt near Tura in Meghalaya. On June 26 too, a tremor of 3.3 magnitude earthquake was felt 79 km west of Meghalaya. In recent times, light tremors have been felt in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram in the Northeast.
The tremors were felt in the country’s capital Delhi on Friday. Earthquake tremors have been felt in Delhi including Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida and Ghaziabad. According to the National Center for Seismology, its intensity was measured at 4.5 on the Richter scale. The earthquake occurred at 7.50 pm on Friday evening.
