Due to the moon not appearing in Saudi Arabia, government officials announced that Eid would be on Sunday 24 May. At the same time, astronomers here announced that Eid al-Fitr would take place on Sunday, May 24. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s federal minister Fawad Chaudhary has announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on 24 May along with other Islamic countries. However, according to Pakistani astronomers and meteorologists, today the moon is less likely to appear in the country.

According to the Mauritania News Agency, a statement was issued between the president and them on Friday and Saturday night, stating that “the paramilitary committee has seen the moon of Eid in different parts of the country.” On this joyous occasion, 195 prisoners were ordered released from various jails of the country. On the other hand, apart from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, UAE, and Kuwait, other Arab countries had not seen the moon on Friday, so today is the 30th day of fasting.
