Today is the birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar, a fighter and nationalist leader of the Indian independence movement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted commemorating Savarkar’s birth anniversary. He wrote that I salute him on the birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar, we salute him for his bravery, contribution to the freedom movement and encouraging thousands of people.

On his Jayanti, I bow to the courageous Veer Savarkar. We remember him for his bravery, motivating several others to join the freedom struggle and emphasis on social reform.

Apart from this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also remembered Veer Savarkar by tweeting. The Defense Minister tweeted that Veer Savarkar was such a son of Mother India, who played a big role in liberating this country by introducing amazing creatures and patriotism. He envisioned an India that empowered every Indian to feel. I salute Savarkar on his birth anniversary.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar also tweeted remembering Veer Savarkar. He wrote that Savarkar was a great patriot, a very unique writer. He has served as a cornerstone for language purification work and improving society. Savarkar will continue to inspire generations. He was highly honored on the birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das also remembered Savarkar. He said in a tweet that he salutes veteran nationalist leader Swatantravir Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his birth anniversary. Veer Savarkar was a great revolutionary, thinker, accomplished writer, poet, talented orator, visionary politician, historian of the Indian independence movement.
