Maharashtra accounts for more than a third of the country’s total deaths and infections.
 
Tamil Nadu ranks second among the infected states, where new infected have been found in a single day in 1989. With this, the number of victims in the state has now increased to 42 thousand 687. Delhi ranks third with 38 thousand 958 cases. However, if we compare the deaths in Tamil Nadu and other states, the situation in Tamil Nadu is much better. In Tamil Nadu, 397 people have died compared to 1449, while in Gujarat at number four and 1271 at number three.

Globally, the total number of COVID cases has crossed 77.6 lakh, while the death toll has crossed 4.29 lakh. Now, India is the fourth worst country in terms of coronavirus cases after the US, Brazil, and Russia.
 
Meanwhile, China on Sunday reported its highest daily total new coronavirus cases in two months. There were 57 confirmed cases in 24 hours, the highest daily toll since mid-April and 36 in Beijing.

 

 
Chinese vaccine maker Synovac has stated that its shot is safe and capable of eliciting an immune response from human trials, suggesting that it has the ability to prevent infection with novel coronaviruses.
